Yoga Chikitsa (Therapy)
Yoga Chikitsa is the ancient wisdom from India that taught us how to heal ourselves through yoga.
In the Patanjali classical scriptures, there are approximately 15 – 20 classical asanas and12 types of pranayama that works on healing our body ailments.
There are so many different types of physiological and psychological illness and body ailments, but the causes of the issues are only several major causes. Therefore, to heal these causes, you need to understand how to find the cause and the practice to master several important asanas.
This course includes the theories and asanas & pranayama practice.
When do we seek yoga? Most of the time because we wish to stay healthy, or our body starts complaining us with pain, depression, and chronic illness, etc. Through yoga practice and healing, we will start to build the awareness and consciousness about our body. The ultimate goal for the whole chikitsa practice is to understand and cherish our body and bring ourselves to the state of sukha (Comfort).

Assessment:
1 take home assignment (submission deadline 3 months from the course end)
This course is suitable for everyone who wish to know more about hatha yoga philosophy and the ancient wisdom of life (Ayurveda). The best course for yoga teachers who wish to enrich their knowledge on yoga therapy and blend in the knowledge in their daily teachings.

- 3 Doshas
- 6 Tastes and the connections towards 3 doshas
- Tastes and organs care
- Shukshma vyayam
- Apply yoga asanas, pranayama and kriyas to self-practice and balance our doshas
- Understand the ancient wisdom of yoga, and take yoga as a therapeutic approach
- We will look into several body ailments and illness, and learn to plan asanas, pranayamas and kriyas (if necessary) for that certain cause of illness.
